Digital communications have transformed how we do business. Equal access to modern communication technology for people with disabilities is critically important and leadership is needed to ensure that no one is left out. Knowbility’s Accessibility Leadership Symposium was designed to meet this leadership challenge. Board Chair Rich Schwerdtfeger invited a group of business, government, and academic leaders to collaborate on current issues faced by organizations of all types and sizes related to accessibility law, emerging standards, and the creation of innovative, flexible, and comprehensive accessibility programs.
I loved the KALS approach! This is a good way to empower people about the scope of the issues and invite more people into leadership roles in this movement. Good to reach out to people struggling in trenches and give them resources and power.

All leaders should have an experience like this, we have different perspectives and ideas that need exploration.

Break with tradition, do things in a new way, not even following the ways the innovators are doing things now. Look at our field from a fresh perspective – this was a great step in that direction.
