Rob Sartin has been programming computers for 35 years with experience at employers ranging in size from 80,000 to a 3-person startup working out of a coffee shop, and in focus from designing heart monitors to Unix systems development to web applications. He has been involved with web accessibility since he helped create the rules for the very first AIR Austin event that led to the creation of Knowbility.
Rob worked at Hewlett-Packard for 10 years in a variety of technical positions designing heart monitors, working with University grant recipients on computer graphics, researching distributed object-oriented computing, and Unix systems implementation. Then he spent five years working at an Austin-based consulting firm where he worked with clients around the nation using software to solve business problems. Since then he has worked with a number of startups and consulting firms on creating business systems and web technology.
Currently, Rob works part-time with a number of nonprofit organizations to develop and maintain their presence on the web and social media.
Rob currently serves on the Board and Executive Committee at the Care Communities and is an active volunteer with LIVESTRONG (url:
