AIR for Texas High Schools!
Knowbility invites tech educators to take advantage of a one-day training opportunity that can help meet federal and state accessibility requirements and promote accessible web design in Texas Schools! The idea is to prepare tech educators to teach the Web Accessibility class to their students who will then compete for scholarship prizes. The Accessibility Internet Rally for Texas High Schools (AIR High) activities include:
- Accessibility Training - Hands-on training on accessible web design in participating Regional Education Service Centers throughout the state.
- Instruction manuals for tech educators to take back to their district.
- Ongoing Support for AIR-HIGH activities through webcasts and email lists delivered by Knowbility's expert network.
- Trainings, manuals and support offered at no cost to Texas educators.
- Student Web Design Contest encouraging participants to apply their new knowledge by creating accessible web pages and submitting them to the AIR High Competition.
- Trophies for one winning team in each of the Region Service Center areas.
- Scholarships funds for state winners.
